Divine Intervention.....

The most lovely thing happened to me yesterday..... I noticed, on my poor, sad neglected blog, that serious blogger, "little augury", had signed on as a follower.... !

Amazing!    Did the sky fall??

I have read and enjoyed her blog and insight, quietly, secretly, for the past year or so. Have always felt she was a kindred spirit. Too ashamed of my pitiful input, as of yet, and in awe of her obvious passion, to make much of a entry on my part.....

I contacted her, upon my discovery, to say a "hello" and "thank you". Her sweet support was immediately felt, and enthused to me via email.

I am giddy with excitement!, and possibility!, and inpsiration!

Never overestimate the good it does to support another, one never knows or understands the importance in which it matters in another's life. It can be HUGE!!

Thank you, miss augury, for the vote of confidence!

  1. I follow little augury religously. If the wee lassie has it on her blog then I've pored over it or nipped off to inspect it at my leisure. I've discovered many interesting places through her and now I'm here and I suspect I'll be a regular. Best wishes.

  2. Well, I came to you from little augury. Isn't she wonderful! I like the jewel like feel of your blog and you started it with the best quote in the world!

Just to say, I struggle with the different strands of my creative nature and end up not doing very much at all. The blog is a good place to play, I feel. The mysterious twins in your painting: the gloves remind of that Paula Rego where the young woman has her arm in her brother's high black boot, polishing it. I doubt whether you share the same references but they are both powerful images.

  3. It has been said that every poem is built on the back of other poems. I think that sentiment applies to much of life: that the act of inspiration and generosity has its own life, its own path.

  5. Thank ALL of you for such kind sentiments! I am humbled and nearly speechless with your graciousness. I feel like I've just encountered some friendly souls, that I been longing to know.
Rose, ClV, I love your painting reference, and I don't it, but am on my way to research it just now. And, thank you for your beautiful description of "jewel-like"!
HBD, I love that phrase, and comparing life to a poem....
I suppose I am really going to have to get busy with this blog , seeing as I now have friends dropping by......

  6. Rose, I looked up her work, so interesting, it reminds me of an early Balthus, who is one of my fabourties. The subtle colours, the harsh edges, the cat....
I found myself home to Pairs at Christmastime, just after he had died, and the Pompideau had a large room dedicated to him....
Never had I seen some much glorious Balthus in one spot. I drooled.... Several times the guard had to ask me to move along, yet still I came back to the forms and colours of hand-mixed pigments that spoke volumns and conveyed centuries of history
I realize now that i have heard of this artist, but have not investigated her as well as I should. I resolve to do so .
Thank you for the reference and image....!
